The screen-recording market has a trust problem: tools sold as “lifetime” later moved their customers to subscriptions. We think that's the one thing you never do. So we're putting it in writing:
- Every v1.x update is included in the lifetime license, forever.

- The app keeps working. ScreenCastKit runs 100% on your device — recording, editing and exporting need no server. Licenses keep validating offline for 30 days at a time, and we'd ship a final build with the check removed.
- Can I use it commercially?
- Yes. Free and Pro, no separate commercial tier.
- Refunds?
- 30 days, no questions. Email support with your order number.
- Why so much cheaper than Screen Studio?
- Your hardware does the rendering — we don't run render farms, so you don't pay for them. $9/mo vs their $29/mo isn't a promo; it's the cost structure.
- Which browsers?
- Chrome and Edge (and other Chromium browsers) on desktop. Safari and Firefox don't yet ship the capture and encoding APIs we need — that's a platform limit, not a paywall.
- Do I need an account?
